I have been married to my husband, Paul, for over 40 years. What has kept us together is our mutual faith in Jesus Christ. This commitment to stay together "until death do us part" has not always been easy. We are as different as night and day, but we support each other in our uniqueness. Paul has the gift of administration and is a successful leader in our church and community. I am a singer, songwriter, author, and speaker. We are both retired educators.
We love our three children and their spouses. We love the beautiful grandchildren they have given us. You will find me babysitting those grandchildren about three days a week. I try to write on my days off!
I grew up in a family of 13 children. Here is a picture of my parents who are both in heaven now. I was the second oldest child. Mom had all 13 of us in 15 years, and there were no twins! My older sister and I had to babysit our siblings when Mom and Dad went to AA and Al-Anon meetings to help my Dad stay sober. I became the story teller of the family. My siblings say my bedtime stories were great, but I can't remember a one of them. What I do remember is loving to create stories that would get my brothers and sisters engaged in the plot, and watching their eyes light up as I told it. That was the beginning of my desire to be a writer.
